Example
- When teaching a new history unit, establish the new period of history relative to the time periods that children have already learned about.
- Revisit the ‘Big Ideas’. For example, revisit democracy in a previously learned period of history before exploring democracy in the current time period.
- Compare and contrast the the ‘Big Ideas’.
